We are an established non-skilled home health agency in Saint Lucie County preparing an exciting transition into a skilled and Medicare-certified home health agency . As we expand our clinical capabilities, we are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) — including retired RNs looking for flexible, meaningful work — to assist through this important phase.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented Director of Nursing to assist with our transition from non-skilled to full skilled operations, including Medicare readiness. This is a part-time opportunity with flexible hours, ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring, building clinical programs, and sharing their expertise without the demands of a full-time schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide the development of clinical policies, skilled procedures, and Medicare-compliant documentation.
• Assist with preparing for Medicare certification , surveys, and state compliance requirements.
• Review and enhance agency clinical workflows, standards of care, and quality assurance processes.
• Provide leadership, training, and direction to our growing skilled nursing team.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, including home health clinical standards.
• Support patient care planning, skilled service oversight, and regulatory documentation as needed.

Requirements:

• Active Florida RN license (required).
• Previous experience as a Director of Nursing , Assistant DON, or similar leadership role in skilled home health .
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, OASIS, home health regulations, and survey readiness.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work part-time with flexible scheduling.
• Retired or semi-retired RNs who meet these qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply.
