Job Description
We are seeking a
Magnetics Intern in our Golden Valley, MN Location. Key Responsibilities: - You will be working with researchers to model magnetic fields in Ansys.
- You will work in a research lab environment to characterize the performance of magnetic systems.
- You will assist research teams in their daily activities.
- You will be responsible for providing documentation of your work throughout the summer.
- Work on a project that culminates in a presentation to leaders in the organization.
YOU MUST HAVE: - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
- Graduating on or after 2026
- 2+ years of laboratory experience
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
WE VALUE: - 2+ years of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Physics, Engineering Physics, or a related major
- Experience modeling physical systems with Ansys
- Experience comparing models to experiment
- Lab experience working with magnetic materials
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent demonstrated organizational skills
