Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Production Supervisor (1st Shift) will be responsible leading and coordinating daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production, adherence to quality and safety standards, and the effective management of production teams. The Production Supervisor will have strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication experience that drives production targets, optimizes processes, and fosters a positive work environment within our manufacturing facility on their scheduled shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to production employees. 
  • Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews in collaboration with the Production Manager. 
  • Ensure proper training of new and existing employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards. 
  • Assist management with production and assembly line daily operations, including filling in on the lines, as needed, to maintain production. 
  • Monitor production processes and adjust as needed to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. 
  • Ensure the availability of necessary materials, tools, and equipment. 
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions. 
  • Participate in equipment preventative maintenance programs and projects. 
  • Management, distribution and daily auctioning of start rights. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and reduce costs. 
  • Attending training relevant to Supervisory/Leadership roles. 
  • Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources, to ensure accurate inventory. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations. 
  • Conduct safety briefings and ensure employees follow safety protocols. 
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or incidents. 
  • Foster a positive team environment and promote teamwork and collaboration. 
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent 
  • At least 5 years in leadership/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • Analytical and able to suggest and drive performance improvements 
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other industry software
