Job Summary: Gilroy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is seeking a skilled CDJR Service Technician to join our team in Gilroy, California. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry, with a compensation rate of $26 to $48 per hour. As a CDJR Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing routine maintenance tasks, and providing excellent customer service to our clients. Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly compensation rate includes a base hourly rate of $26.00 - $32.00 per hour. Flag rate is $32.00 - $48.00 per hour, both rates depending on certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical issues
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks according to dealership and manufacturer standards
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues
• Communicate effectively with customers and provide them with updates on their vehicle's status
• Keep accurate and detailed records of all services and repairs performed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and staying up-to-date on industry advancements
• Comply with all safety and regulatory standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferred
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow dealership and manufacturer standards and procedures
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
